Tecumseh Public School District services an area of approximately 80 square miles and includes the City of Tecumseh and parts of the Townships of Adrian, Clinton, Franklin, Macon, Raisin, Ridgeway and Tecumseh.

The Tecumseh School District is located in southeastern Michigan within Lenawee County, 25 miles south of Ann Arbor and 30 miles north of Toledo, Ohio, and has an approximate student population of 3,300 students.

This upgraded facility will allow Tecumseh students the opportunity to be better prepared for college and the workforce in a global society.

The proximity to institutions of higher education is also a noteworthy strength of the Tecumseh area. The University of Michigan, University of Toledo, Eastern Michigan University, Adrian College, Siena Heights University, Washtenaw Community College, Monroe Community College and Cleary College are all within a 35 mile radius of the community. Jackson Community College, a strong partner with the Tecumseh School District, offers classes both in Tecumseh and neighboring Adrian.

At Tecumseh Public Schools we are Uncompromisingly Learner Centered.
Our curriculum and instruction is focused on Mass Customized Learning and Project-Based Learning. We provide opportunities for all learners to work at their own pace on projects that address real-world problems, that are engaging to the learner.

We have a Great Start to Quality 5-star rated Preschool Center that works with our youngest learners located at Tecumseh South Early Learning Center.

Tecumseh North and South Early Learning Centers offer a unique learning experience for young fives, kindergarten and first grade programs. Our early childhood focus nurtures the academic, social, emotional, and physical development for each and every child. The goal is to cultivate our learners' natural curiosity through a customized learning approach enriched with play, cooperation, imagination, and inquiry.

Tecumseh Compass Learning Center will educate our 2nd through 6th grade learners. Teachers work in teams across grade levels to provide the appropriate support or acceleration for each learner. This focus on customized learning paths for all will prepare each learner for future success.

During the middle years, our learners attend Tecumseh East and West STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art, and math) Centers for 7th and 8th grade, looping with their teachers for those two years. When our learners reach 7th grade, they become part of our 1:1 Technology Program where each student receives a Chromebook to use throughout the rest of their education at TPS. Through a project-based curriculum, students are given the opportunity to work on real-world issues that are important to them.

The transition to the High School takes place in 9th grade, where learners have numerous options and paths available including Advanced Placement, Project Lead the Way courses, the Virtual Academy, the SMCSI Mechatronics Program, the JC Middle College branch, dual-enrollment and the LISD TECH Center. In addition to the various academic paths, learners also have the opportunity to participate in our nationally recognized arts programs through bands, orchestra, choirs, and numerous fine arts offerings.

Tecumseh Public Schools provides all learners with the opportunity to explore every facet of their education. We offer art, music and physical education from Young Fives to 12th grade and foreign language classes from 2nd to 12th grade. There are also numerous extended learning opportunities that include Lego Club, Robotics and Science Olympiad - just to name a few! TPS staff also value our community partnerships with First Federal Bank on financial literacy courses and sponsorship of our two new Collaboration Labs located at both STEAM Centers.
