Gun Permits

Tecumseh Police Department issues gun purchase permits Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. - midnight for city residents.

To apply for a permit you must take a test, verify that you have not been convicted of a Domestic Violence Crime, be free of felony convictions, and be a city resident of at least 18 years of age. Be sure to have your driver's license or ID card with you when applying for a permit.

Concealed Weapons Permit Applications are available, however; all paperwork, fingerprints, etc. must go through the Lenawee County Sheriff's Department.

Safety Inspections can be conducted seven days a week 8:00 a.m. until midnight.

In most cases the paperwork can be done while you wait.

Remember, it is important to keep your guns locked up and out of reach of children.

City Ordinance prohibits the discharge of a weapon within the city limits.
