Adams Park

309 E. Chicago Boulevard

Adams Park is located directly west of City Hall at East Chicago Boulevard and Maumee Street.
A small, beautifully landscaped park with a working water fountain gives Adams Park its own unique character.
Facilities: Water fountain, benches, picnic table, parking and lavatory in municipal office.

Aden Mead

211 S. Occidental
This 10-acre parcel is a fine addition to the City's park system. This park
includes a soccer field, one baseball diamond, playground equipment,
restrooms, and a picnic shelter.

Cal Zorn Recreation Center

300 W. Russell Road

The Cal Zorn Recreation Center is located on Russell Rd. between Close Drive and Raisin Center Highway. This facility is the center point for many recreational programs including baseball/softball, soccer, flag football, as well as a small children’s playground/picnic area. The Recreation Center is complete with on- site parking, a dog park, restroom facility, picnic shelter, three youth baseball/softball diamonds and large open greenspace. A new addition to Cal Zorn is the  Splash Pad, located near the playground/picnic area. This facility truly offers every resident of this community an opportunity to enjoy recreational activities.

Community Center

703 E. Chicago Boulevard

The historical Tecumseh Community Center is located on East Chicago Boulevard, three blocks east of City Hall. The  small green space directly behind the center is an ideal spot for a family picnic overlooking the Globe Mill Pond.

Facilities: Fishing boats without motors are permitted on the Globe Mill Pond. Outdoor grills, Senior Center, indoor and outdoor lavatories, drinking fountains and beverage machines.

 

Douglas Bird Kiwanis Memorial Park

Kiwanis Park is located on North Maumee Street at Herrick Park Drive. Evans Creek flows directly through this park giving Memorial Park its unique setting.

Facilities: Playground areas, picnicking with outdoor grills, benches, a lighted walking pathway including a bridge connection that connects the two sections of the park and open green space.

 

Elliott Parkelliot_park

Elliott Park is located on East Kilbuck Street at Ottawa Street. 

Facilities: Playground areas, picnicking, outdoor grills and open green space. The Scout Cabin can be used as a meeting space for   a donation.  Call the Parks Department for the Scout Master's contact information.

 

Evans Park

Evans Park is located on North Evans Street near Burt Street. This Historical Park marks the site of the first home in Tecumseh. This park's primary focus is fishing, which is available adjacent to the park.

 

Hotrum Promenade Park

100 W. Shawnee

This passive park is located on the corner of Shawnee and Evans Street. The beautiful landscaping, park benches, lights       and the gazebo provide a very peaceful and unique park setting.

 

Indian Crossing Trails Park

This 130 acres of beautiful scenery features picturesque views of the River Raisin. This park also includes several walking paths; the main path which offers benches for resting follows the Globe Mill raceway and is one mile long.

 

John W. Smith Park

804 N. Evans

A 25 acre as of yet undeveloped park located on the northeast side of Tecumseh. Plans are to develop a ball diamond, sand volleyball courts, tot soccer field and walking trails and natural areas.

Monument Park

Size: 0.2 acres

Occidental Street Site

This open green space of 2.3 acres is currently undeveloped.

Patterson Park

Patterson Park is located directly west of the Patterson Elementary School along Evans Creek. Patterson School can be reached off North VanBuren or North Union Street.

Facilities: Picnic table, grill and parking.

 

Satterthwaite Park

703 E. Chicago Boulevard

Satterthwaite Park is located next to the Tecumseh Community Center on East Chicago Boulevard. This park has three lighted tennis courts, an inline skating rink, two picnic shelters and the Globe Mill Pond.

Facilities: Tennis courts, inline skating rink, basketball court, picnicking, outdoor grills, shelters, playground area and fishing.

 

Standish Dam

The Standish Dam is a fishing site located on Burt Street and also provides access to the scenic Indian Crossing Trails Park.

 

Sunset Street Park

This small open green space of 1 acre is located on Chicago Boulevard at Sunset Street.

 

Tecumseh Park

403 Adrian St.

Tecumseh Park  is located on Adrian Street at Cummins Street. The rolling hillside, swimming and large open green space afford many recreational opportunities. This park has restroom facilities that are in operation during the summer months. Family picnicking, playground structure, outdoor grills, fishing on shore, swimming, sand beach volleyball, winter sledding and ice fishing are just a few of the many opportunities the Tecumseh Park has to offer.

Facilities: Picnic shelter, playground structure, one sand volleyball court, parking areas, beach, picnic tables, grills, sled hills, fishing, drinking fountain.

 

Westhaven Site

This open green space of less than an acre is located on Piquot Way.
