Dog Licenses

Obtain a Dog License

Dog licenses are available through the Lenawee County Treasurer's Office throughout the year.  The Tecumseh Police Department issues dog licenses for City residents only, from December 1 through February 28. 

A current valid rabies certificate must be presented to purchase a license every year, regardless of whether the certificate has not expired from the previous year (rabies certificate must not expire less than two (2) weeks of the license issue date).  No other documentation is acceptable.   Proof of spay/neuter is required.  State law requires all dogs four months and older to have a license.    Licenses expire on December 31st of each year and need to be renewed every year.
