Tornado relief collection in Tecumseh raises $2,500
The Tecumseh community and visitors contributed about $2,500 to the American Red Cross for relief efforts in the Oklahoma tornado clean-up. Seven businesses, city hall and branches of both United Bank & Trust and First Federal Bank collected donations from May 21 to June 21.
Tecumseh City Manager Kevin Welch said all of the funds collected were given to the Red Cross. He praised the area businesses who sponsored the money jugs and thanked UB&T and First Federal for helping to manage the funds.
