The City of Tecumseh is happy to announce that the Tecumseh City Council is expected to approve an application for an Industrial Facilities Tax Exemption (PA 198) for Ervin Industries, Inc., in Tecumseh. Ervin Industries intends to invest $428,000 in new production equipment at its facility at 200 Industrial Drive. This investment helps the local tax base and local economy, as well as creating and supporting local jobs in Tecumseh and Lenawee County.
“This new investment will help maintain our position as the leading producer of lead-free shot gun shot in North America,” said Ervin Industries Plant Manager Garett Gillen.
“Ervin Industries is important to the industrial base in Tecumseh and in Lenawee County. The investment in equipment that expands their business is most welcome and will have a positive impact on the Tecumseh and Lenawee communities,” said Tecumseh Mayor Richard Johnson.
The City of Tecumseh would like to thank its partners who contributed to the success of this project, including Jeff Sands of the Michigan Economic Development Corporation, Karen Lee of the Lenawee Economic Development Corporation and Jack Townsley of South Central Michigan Works. Their assistance helps our local economy grow.
