One of the first three settlements in the Michigan territory. Tecumseh is conveniently located within 25 minutes of Ann Arbor, 30 minutes of Jackson, 15 minutes of Dundee and only 30 minutes from Toledo, Ohio.

NOTICE TO CITY OF TECUMSEH RESIDENTS

The City of Tecumseh was contacted by Blue Bird Productions with interest in filming several scenes for their upcoming movie in and around downtown Tecumseh. As a result, temporary road closures will occur to accommodate the film crew on the following dates and times:

Date: 9/8/19
Location: S. Ottawa St. between M50 & Kilbuck
E. Pottawatamie St. between Oneida and Evans
Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

Date: 9/10/19
Location: S. Ottawa St. between M50 & Kilbuck
E. Pottawatamie St. between Oneida and Evans
Time: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm

Date: 9/22/19
Location: Evans Street from 101 E. Chicago Blvd – 112 N. Evans St.
& 102 E. Chicago Blvd – 116 S. Evans St.
Time: 9:00 am – 1:00 pm

During this time travel will be allowed for residents located within the impacted areas,
simply ask an official to pass through and the roadblocks will be removed.

While we know this may be inconvenient for a brief period of time, this is a great opportunity to showcase Tecumseh on the big screen!

PUBLIC NOTICE
TO CITY OF TECUMSEH RESIDENTS AND WATER SYSTEM CUSTOMERS
FIRE HYDRANT AND WATER MAIN FLUSHING

The City of Tecumseh Public Utilities Department will be flushing fire hydrants,
water mains and turning water main valves according to the following schedule:

City crews will begin flushing on the north side of the City and move
southward. This flushing will be done during the daylight hours from
9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, beginning September 9, 2019 through October 10, 2019.

In an effort to minimize inconvenience to our residents and customers,
flushing will not be performed on Fridays, Saturdays or Sundays.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR COLD WATER FOR ANY RUST BEFORE
DOING ANY LAUNDRY.

Attention City of Tecumseh Water and Sewer Customers
Changes are coming to your utility bill. If you have a sprinkler meter, you will no longer receive a separate bill for this service.
Sprinkler meter accounts will now appear on your regular billing statements as “Irrigation” and “Irrigation Readiness”. 

You will start to see this change with your last billing cycle of 2019. Sprinkler accounts with current balances
at the time of transfer, will be combined with the “Water” and “Water Readiness” billing items.
Only charges after the transfer will appear on the Irrigation billing lines.
